Any extension of holiday must be checked out with the warden by 11:00 am and payment made. .

3

BRING A TORCH! Rivendale has minimal lighting to prevent light pollution so you can see the stars!

4

Dogs welcome in certain areas of the park but there are STRICTLY dog-free zones in the interests of health, safety and guests who are not dog lovers. Dogs must be on a lead at all times. Dog owners are asked in the interests of child safety and the amenity of other guests to ensure dog mess is kept off the park. Equipment and disposal points are provided within the dog walking area; please ensure you make use of these. The management reserves the right to refuse large dogs of a frightening nature.

5

For the sake of other guests, no noise after 10.30 pm - radios etc. are unwelcome at any time if played in the open or so loudly they can be heard by neighbours. Please keep noise to a minimum before 9.00 am.

6

We ask cyclists to ride with care and concern for everyone. Cycling is only allowed on the roads, NOT between pitches.

7

Children under six years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the park and also whilst using the toilet block. Certain areas of the Park may be potentially hazardous by virtue of their steepness, the possibility of rock falls or because improvement work is in progress. Mandatory warning notices identify these areas. No liability is accepted for visitors who enter these areas or allow members of their family to enter the same deliberately or neglectfully. Other areas have been fenced to preserve wild life or habitat. You are respectfully requested not to enter these areas and to ensure children do not do so by supervising them at all times.

8

All-male and all-female groups, unrelated mixed groups in excess of four persons, are only accepted by prior arrangement. The park operator reserves the rights to cancel or terminate a holiday booked where its guest has failed to disclose all material facts as required on the booking form. They may also require any person not observing the park rules or creating a nuisance to leave the park. In these circumstances the company shall not be under any liability to the persons involved and shall be discharged from further performance of its obligations.

9

9. The site and its facilities are used entirely at guest's own risk. Guests must ensure that their vehicle and personal insurance covers third party liability whilst within the Park. No liability is accepted by us in respect of any person or property. Caravans being moved by us are moved at the owner's risk.

10

Loss or damage for which any occupier of the pitch is responsible must be paid for in full before departure.

11

Waste disposal points have facilities for solid waste (bins) and a flushing facility for emptying your toilet cassette. Please ensure that the latter facility is left flushed and clean (using the tap facility adjoining, if necessary). This last mentioned tap supplies non-potable water only. IN NO CIRCUMSTANCES should it be used for drinking or washing purposes.

12

Open fires are prohibited anywhere in the park. Barbeques are allowed provided they are contained by a barbeque which does not allow hot ash to fall onto the ground and are situated on areas of stone away from grass/plants and other combustible materials.

13

In the event guests discover a fire, they should follow the procedure described at the fire points. Emergency telephones are inside Reception and Laundry.

14

Please note the electricity supply is 16 amps 240 volts.

15

Removal of vans
Vans left on site beyond the period booked will be charged at the current daily pitch rate. Vans may be towed off pitch and clamped, or otherwise immobilised pending settlement of any outstanding accounts. Where a van is towed off pitch, the storage cost is £2.00 per day and the tow-off charge is £5.00.

16

Closed season
The park is closed for 1 month, currently for the month of February.

17

Stand pipes
Where a stand pipe is provided to the pitch, the pitch hirer is responsible for leaving it in a frost resistant state after use - that is, with the stop valve closed and the tap open. In cold weather this procedure may be required each evening. Damage caused by a failure to carry this out may result in a charge for plumbing repairs.

18

Free & Chargeable Events
Each year a number of events are staged free of charge or for an entrance fee for the benefit of seasonal and touring customers. No warranty is implied that sufficient tickets or room are guaranteed for every person on site at such events. Tickets are issued on a first come, first serve basis from reception against full payment. The cafe, bar, lounge and other facilities are open at different times through the year. Seasonal pitch holders and static van owners do not have access to chargeable events on site unless they have purchased a ticket.

19

ONLY BIODEGRADEABLE Cassette chemicals may be disposed of on site.

General Advice & Information

Pitches available

1.

Pitching area.
Caravans, motor caravans and trailer tents must use the pitching area. It is also recommended for families in tents and for persons with large frame tents and in wet conditions. Pitches are available as follows:-

All grass.

Available with or without 16amp supply.

Hard-standing with grass.

As above (but limited numbers suitable for large frame tents).

All hard-standing.

Available only with 16 amp supply.

2.

Bottom field - no hard-standing pitches available.

Although relatively free-draining, the entrance can become muddy (like all fields) during prolonged periods of rain. There is a relatively long walk to the amenity building (approx 250 metres) for the launderette and pot washing etc. Toilets, basins and shower are located adjacent reception (as is the bar & cafe - about 120 metres away). The field is perhaps better suited to guests without children.

3.

Awning/Tent pegs

  1. Steel pegs are advisable as the subsoil is stony even beneath the turf. 2. Sturdy pegs are available to buy or hire at reception if required.

4.

A refundable £5.00 deposit is taken for a key to the amenity building.

5.

Holiday homes are available for sale on site.
